Nutanix’s Ohio State Reformatory Tour

For this project a producer and I were flew from Texas to Ohio in the middle of March to gather footage of the infamous Ohio State Reformatory for an interactive livestream that Nutanix wanted to host. The idea for the livestream was a live host would MC discussions between Nutanix representatives and customers then play a series of games with the viewers that would teach them about Nutanix’s cloud services.

For this shoot I worked with a team of local freelance crew to capture footage of a docent from the Ohio State Reformatory present a tour around the facility.

No video shoot goes 100% perfectly to plan, but at the end of the day that’s what makes video production special. This shoot was no exception, from the airline loosing half of the camera equipment the night before the shoot, to a ghost appearing on security footage while we were shooting in the solitary confinement hallway this shoot had just about the whackiest curveballs thrown at it.
